The Calgary Police Services employs over 1,600 police officers and 855 civilian personnel. The region is divided into eight districts in which the Calgary Police patrol, educate, and protect the residents. The force is organized into several sections and units: Administration, Communications, Community & Youth Services, Crime Prevention, Diversity Resources, Investigative Support, Human Resources, Major Crimes, Organized Crime, Support and Traffic.
