Gulfport Police Department, MS

Gulfport is one of the largest cites in Mississippi, second only to the state capitol, Jackson. As of the 2000 census, Gulfport has 71,127 inhabitants over its 64.2 square miles. Unfortunately, Gulfport was a victim in Hurricane Katrina and many of the property within it were damaged and flooded.

Besides having to face the crime, the Gulfport Police Department must also be prepared for natural disasters as the city has seen several severe hurricanes. The Department has 201 sworn personnel and 92 civilian staff to serve its community. These employees are organized into two main bureaus: Operations and Support.

The Gulfport Police Department utilizes the Tyler Records Management System.
