Lincoln city is located in Placer County, California. Its population is approximately 40,000 and the city covers about 18 square miles. Forbes recently listed Lincoln, California as the nation’s fastest growing city- between 2000 and 2006, Lincoln’s population grew about 238.6%

In 2007, Lincoln underwent a drastic crime reduction. This is due to a close and effective partnership between the community and the Lincoln Police Department. The Lincoln Police Department is organized into three divisions: Administrative, Operations, and Support. The Administrative Division oversees the entire Police Department. The Operations Division includes Patrol, Investigations, and Youth Services Units. Lastly, the Support Services division is responsible for management of the day-to-day operations of the Department.
