The Manteca Police Department has lead the state in many aspects of modern policing. The Department’s canine unit is the longest continuously operating police dog program in the state, having been in operation for over 35 years. Manteca’s School Resource Officer program is the standard by which other programs are measured. Employees of the Manteca Police Department are staff instructors at three colleges and two police academies. Members of our Department have received recognition form various State and Federal organizations such as the California Crime Prevention Officers Association, MADD, Rotary International, and the American Legion for outstanding police work.  The Manteca Police Department services a population of over 50,000.

The Manteca Police Department utilizes the New World Systems Records Management System.
