The Renton Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency with 137 personnel comprised of 95 sworn and 42 non-sworn. The Renton Police Department enjoys the distinction of being one of only eight departments out of 250 in the State of Washington to be accredited by both the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC).  The Renton Police Department serves a population of over 50,000.
