Richardson Police Department, TX

Richardson is located in the Collin and Dallas counties of Texas. According to a 2007 estimate, the population is projected to be 101,400. Richardson is home to the Telecom Corridor- a large technology business center. Some of companies that make their home here include Nortel, Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, Tellabs, Texas Instruments and AT&T. The city is spans 28.6 square miles all of which is land.

The Richardson Police Department organizes the city into five neighborhoods, which they serve and protect with law enforcement services. The police department is organized into three main bureaus and divisions: Administration, Operations, and Services. Within the Operations bureau is the Special Operations unit which includes Crime Prevention, Honor Guard, Mobile Field Force, School Resource Office (SRO) programs and SWAT.
