The Suffolk County Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency. Within the Department are units dedicated to Auxiliary Police, Emergency Services, Hate Crimes, Identity Theft, Marine Bureau, Pistol License Bureau, and Police Academy. The Department has many sworn and unsworn personnel to dedicated to fulfilling these functions and serving their large constituency.
