Grand Prairie (TX) Police Department Using Online Citizen Police Reporting

GPPD - Citizen Online Police Reporting

The Grand Prairie Police Department has launched Coplogic’s Desk Officer Online Reporting SystemCitizen online police reporting allows the residents of Grand Prairie to file police reports online.  GPPD is excited to provide the new service to its citizens.  By filing a police report online, citizens will not have to wait for an officer to respond and will automatically be sent their police report as an email.   GPPD will save a tremendous amount of time and resources as a result of the citizen online police reporting.  By accepting police reports online, GPPD will save on fuel, the cost of vehicle maintenance, and keep officers on the street.   Coplogic’s online police reporting system also allows citizens to file police reports in various languages; a feature that helps those whose primary language may not be English.

After filing a police report online, citizens’ reports will be reviewed by GPPD and if those online police reports are approved, the data will automatically populate the police department’s records management system.  GPPD uses Tiburon's RMS, a Coplogic partner.

Coplogic is proud to be able to serve the GPPD in its efforts to enhance its services by allowing citizens to file police reports online.  GPPD has big plans for the citizen online police reporting system and looks forward to receiving different types of police reports on the internet.
